Residents
Midori Forest is the home to many faerie folk, particularly pixies. Although
some faerie folk do live in homes on the ground, many choose to live in tree houses.
Greenery
It's no coincidence that the word "Midori" means green. The Midori
Forest is full of beautiful and rare plant life, as well as a wealth of various
types of trees. Natural caves and clearings are also scattered throughout the
forest. The many pixies that live in the forest also have pale green skin.
Schools
Located in the Northern Midori Forest is the esteemed
Yousei
Academy and
Yousei University
complex, where many young faerie folk study academics, athletics, and magick.

Forest. Bookstores, such as Kinzaki Books, are often popular, especially with

Schools
One of the best training schools for young faerie folk, the private Academy
consists of two schools: the Yousei Academy, a private high school; and the attached
Yousei University. Both schools are held on a single, large campus in the northern
area of the
Midori Forest.
Admittance
Entrance exams are required for new students to be admitted into the program
which consists of a five year high school program at the Yousei Academy followed
by a four year program at the attached Yousei University.

Elven Championships
The Yousei Academy is also home to the ever-popular Elven Championships. It
is mandatory that all students of the Yousei Academy and Yousei University participate.
The championships feature a variety of areas in which to compete, segregated by
levels determined by age. Competitors may also compete at levels higher than those
determined by their age if they exhibit adequate skill.
Winners of each competition receive medals of gold, silver, or bronze for
placing first, second, or third (respectively). When all competitions are completed,
those who have accumulated the greatest number of gold medals are awarded the
honorary titles of King and Queen. Other winners with the highest medal counts,
of their studying year, are awarded the title of Prince or Princess.
The reigning Queen of the Elven Championships is Kasha,
a year five student at the Academy, who competes at University level. Upon entering
the competition, at the equivalent of year one, some time ago; she is since undefeated,
excelling particularly in a variety of magick skills and spells.
